Make Your Own Farm Animal Diorama

We had so much fun making our Ocean and Rainforest Dioramas that we had to make another! This Farm Animal Diorama Resource Pack has everything you need to make an awesome diorama and learn about the animals, PLUS a Farm Animal Barn writing craft-ivity.

While the kids colored their animals and other diorama accessories, I read the animal facts to them. We talked about why farms are important and what each animal provides for us.

They each cut out their animals and put together their dioramas. We added a sun to our background and glued some of the animals on the hills. We wrapped the fences around the box to create a pasture, added a pond for the ducks and mud for the pigs. We used construction paper as grass and drew small white flowers in the field. You could get crafty with easter grass or shredded paper instead.

We ended up making 3 awesome dioramas. When we finished putting them together, we did the Barn Animal Writing Activity. Check out the video to see how we made it! There is also a tracing version for kids who are learning to write.
