Unicorn Bark

I made this beautiful Unicorn Bark for my daughter’s Magical Unicorn Birthday Party. It’s tasty and adds some serious flair to the Unicorn theme. Best part, it’s incredibly easy to make!

You will need:
1 pound White Candy Melts – I used White Color Blast Candy Melts
1 ounce of each color candy melt you’d like – I used turquoise, pink, orange, purple and blue.
Rainbow Sprinkles
M&Ms
Candy Pearls
Gold Sprinkles

  • Melt 1 pound of white candy melts.

  • Melt 1 ounce of each color candy melt you want to incorporate.
-You can melt them in the microwave in 30s intervals, stirring often until smooth. You can also use a double boiler. I used a double boiler for the white while I melted the colors in the microwave.
-Be careful not to overheat or allow moisture into the candy melts as it will seize.

  • Spread the white candy melts onto the parchment paper about 1/4 inch thick. Try to make it as even as possible.

  • Drizzle the color candy melts on the white.
  • Using a toothpick, swirl the colored candy melts into the white.

  • While the candy melts are still wet, sprinkle the M&Ms, sprinkles and candy pearls on top.
  • Chill until hard and then break into pieces.

  • You can serve these as is, put small pieces on cupcakes or in ice cream!

Notes

*TIPS*
Be careful not to overheat or allow moisture in the candy melts as they will seize.
I used a double boiler to heat my white candy melts while I microwaved the colored candy melts. This ensured all the candy melts stayed in liquid form while I worked.
If you are using all white and plan to color your candy melts, DO NOT use regular water based food coloring. This will seize your candy melts and ruin them. You must use oil based candy coloring.
