Scissor Practice Print-Out

These cutting strips are perfect for teaching proper grip on scissors and cutting technique. Start by cutting them into strips on the dotted lines. I LOVE my Staples Paper Cutter for straight lines like this. It’s fast and easy.

Let’s try to ignore the sweaty mess pictures, ha! She had just been jumping on the trampoline and then had sauce.

Miss 3 loves anything to do with cutting and she gets pretty serious about it! She likes to go back over the shapes she cuts to make sure they don’t have any ridged edges. She has quickly developed a proper grip (although her scissors are upside down here!) with her thumb up toward the ceiling.

I told her the strips were just for cutting practice but she felt the need to glue the shapes to pink paper afterward. Which then sparked the idea to color them before cutting! I went with the flow and she had fun.

As usual, she got a sticker toward her reward chart for doing scissor practice. This is an awesome resource for practicing cutting.

You can print it on colored cardstock for more fun! I find the cardstock is easier to cut because it doesn’t flop over like regular paper does.

Does your little like cutting anything and everything?
Print these out and comment below how it went!
