Water Bead Painting

I have a giant bag of old water beads sitting in the closet so when I saw this idea from Creative Fun For Kids, I knew we had to try it! When our pictures were dry, I cut letters out of cardstock and framed them. They turned out really awesome!

You will need:
Water Beads
Cardstock or Painting Paper
Paint
A box or container (we used our Ikea Trofast bins from our Flisat Table)
Exacto Knife (for letters)

Place the paper in your container and sprinkle paint all over it. Then, grab a few handfuls of water beads and throw them in.

Gently rock your container back and forth and side to side.

Our first creations didn’t come out that great because I used regular paper. The paper soaked up the water from the water beads. The cardstock paintings looked really cool, though! It didn’t take long for hubby and Mr. 1 to write on them with their fingers.

For the letters, I printed out a large A and G on cardstock. Then, I cut each letter out with an exacto knife. I taped the page over a painted page and put it in a frame. I’ll probably end up painting the frames so they match but I really LOVE how they came out!

I would love to see your creation if you give this a try! Tag #raisinghooks in your pictures. Comment belowhow it went!
